Another fantastic thing is forest school. In the beginning my son was not comfortable enough to try the hammock or climbing frames but the lovely teachers helped him to gain courage so now he confidently climbs and uses the hammock.”

“We love Forest school! It's so important for children to be outside in nature but you also embrace the rain, mud etc in a way that makes it so fun. Activities like making fires, woodwork etc are amazing to give children confidence in learning new skills but also ensuring they learn to follow instructions and boundaries to keep them safe. Bringing external guests in to show and demonstrate things like the sheep shearing, police etc is amazing to help them learn about the world.”

“Sharing - the timer really helped (my child) stop using a toy and understand that a minute had passed so that it was time to share. Colouring and painting are also activities (my child) has enjoyed. They really help his motoneuron skills thank you Renee!”

The emphasis on art has been excellent - a really great way of expressing themselves, sensory and showcasing creativity

I cannot rate Little School highly enough. Having moved our daughter from another nursery setting earlier this year, the comparison is huge. I am so impressed and pleased with the variety of activities that take place. From forest school, to arts and crafts - learning through hands on play, with the best team of staff who are all so passionate and dedicated to making every day different.

The team at little school have always been brilliant and help in any situation

Your commutation is fantastic, whether it’s via Famly or verbally speaking at drop off / collection. 10/10.

I love the daily updates on Famly, and staff are always happy to have a chat in person when I've wanted to discuss something further. No improvements that I can suggest, keep doing what you're doing!

“I like the informal chats as well as the written communications on Famly. Maybe some sort of indication of how she is doing in certain areas compared to the average child of a similar age or against where she might be expected to be. Any areas that are of concern maybe. I’m not sure if this is realistic really given all children are different.”

“Hayley has been absolutely fantastic throughout. (My child) felt so relaxed because Hayley (and Kristy) came on a home visit. It really did help (my child) feel more relaxed on his first day. Since, Hayley has been there making suggestions, being creative and watching over (my child) whilst monitoring his development. We’re not sure how we could ask for more? His connection with Hayley is still there as he’ll often want to hold her hand whilst going into nursery.”

“Nothing at all, Claire is excellent as she is! In the beginning Claire did a home visit so (our child) could feel better. The home visit seemingly didn’t go well as Oliver still wasn’t happy, but in a way it still helped as from next day he never screamed or cried after us.”

​“The level of communication is excellent at LPLS. From the check in’s, the nap times, the medicine and check out times all being logged. The pictures you share on a daily basis are excellent too! Including the progress updates on our children. The ‘planner’ for the quarter (or the year, can’t remember which) is excellent! Very good idea. Maybe a ‘live’ copy on Famly (as a PDF with links) that’s updated or on the LPLS website? Another suggestion would be to have a public .ics calendar so that when an event is added to the calendar all the subscribers can see it in our own calendars.”

In my opinion, we couldn’t have chosen a better preschool for our children. Good value for money in a beautiful scenery.

Longparish Little school has helped my daughter become more confident socially, emotionally, and physically. She consistently is happy and excited to go to Little school and has learnt so much along the way.

We have had a fabulous time with little school. Two of our children have been here and both absolutely flourished. Any worries we had are squashed. The time always put so much time and effort into the children and have been a huge part of their learning adventure. They will all be very missed.

I love how parents are welcomed in at drop off. I know this has been beneficial to my daughter having 10 minutes with her inside and leaving once she is happy and settled.

Being about to move in and out of the garden whenever he chooses. Being about to develop their own games and being supported by staff.

My son absolutely loves going to Forest School. He loves learning to use a saw or to make a hedgehog with hammer and nails. He likes the messy area and the scooter and bike too.

​

He loves playing with all the staff and learnt their names before the names of his friends.

Supportive to our son but also to us as parents.

So impressed with Little School. Understanding, patient, friendly and so much fun. My son has loved his time here.

 

Little School and the team have gone above my expectations for welcoming my daughter to Little School. Her key worker has been particularly supportive in meeting her individual needs. Every session starts with big smiles at the door, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and ends with a friendly wave goodbye.

Little school is always such a friendly, loving, happy environment and all the team work very hard to entertain the children and cater to their different needs and learning, they keep parents very well informed.

We do recommend Little School to all our friends and family. Very friendly, helpful and supportive team of professionals who understand what children need.

Every single session has been a positive experience for our child, every single communication with staff has been a positive experience, the staff are professional but warm and fun towards the children, I wish we could stay beyond the 2 yrs we have had already!!

I love the community feel of little school, the staff are wonderful, and I always felt my child was cared for in a very loving way. Her needs were met excellently, and she has learnt so much from all of the fabulous play activities planned. She now loves to write her letters and is so excited about starting school, which I really feel Little school have supported her with, preparing her emotionally for year R. Our daughter has loved attending Little school and we are very grateful for all of the 'different' days too like the farm visit and beach day, as they have made it extra fun.

Not only have you always made my little one welcome you’ve also made me very welcome especially in the early days when leaving was difficult. There is a lovely, friendly, and warm atmosphere when you walk into Little School. It is easy to see why the children are so happy. I shall miss it! Thank you.

Little School has been the best thing to have happened to my little boy. He is thriving here. He has grown so independent- far more than his brother at the same age. The love you all have for your job is clear to see. We are extremely happy. Thank you for all you do.

Little School is so much better than I imagined. All the staff are absolutely wonderful. My daughter always comes home telling me all about her day and what she has been up to. Her confidence has grown so much. I can’t wait to send my son there when he is old enough to go.
