Roots to shoots 
Our curriculum is based at developing the children's roots, just as trees with robust roots are more likely to withstand environmental challenges and flourish, children receive a rich and nurturing early development are better equipped to thrive throughout their lives. Our aim is that all the children are given the opportunities, support and resources so they all have strong roots and are ready for their shoots to start emerging when they leave us for the next stage of their journey.

Nurturing Nature- Is inquisitive to explore their natural environment and make observations.

STEMS

When the children have establish firm roots through Little School's nurturing environment and supportive relationships, they become ready to engage in finding out more about other areas of learning and develop their STEMS. They are ready to expand their knowledge through play and further their curiosity and enthusiasm.

The Amazing Arts

Music- The children will be able to explore a variety of musical instruments and movements, using them to express themselves through rhythm, sound and dance.

Art-The children will explore and experiment with different materials and techniques in process art to create their own unique pictures, expressing their ideas and creativity.

Excellent Engineering

The children to engage in engineering activities by creating and constructing structures using various materials, developing problem-solving skills and understanding of basic design concepts.

Magnificent Maths

Numbers- Have a solid understanding of the numbers 1-10

Pattern, Shape and Measure- Have an understanding of space, shape, measure and pattern.

Sound and Letters

General Sounds Discrimination- Has developed listening skills and awareness of sounds in the environment and the sounds made with instruments and our voices. 

Rhyme and Rhythm- To experience and appreciate rhythm and rhyme.
