Our Management Committee

As a registered charity, Little School is run by a committee made up of parents of children and members of the local community. The committee meets no more than six times a year, including the AGM, which usually takes place in October.

Little School cannot run without a management committee, and we are always seeking new members. If you would like a say in how Little School is run, or would like to help out with fundraising, please find out more by contacting admin@longparishlittleschool.org.uk

Emma Fell

Chair of Little School

Gemma Doughty-Jones

Secretary

Emma joined the committee in 2019 in the role of treasurer and became chair in March 2020. She has worked for Hillier Nurseries for 15 years and her current role is Head of Learning and Development for the company. Emma passionately believes in the ethos of Little School and really enjoys coming in and playing with the children and getting to see how they develop during their time with us. In her spare time Emma likes to read, spend time in her garden, paint and draw.

Safeguarding lead on the committee.

Gemma lives in Longparish and has had two children attend Little School. She works part-time as a Geologist planning new wells on an oil field in Iraq (remotely normally!) and especially loves to see the children getting excited by dinosaurs, fossils and volcanoes. She and her children walk to Little School and 'Big' School whatever the weather with their Sheltie Whisky and she is always happy to chat about the Little School Committee.

I joined the Little School committee as Treasurer in September 2020, after my partner Sophie was already a committee member and our son Jude had been attending Little School. It is a lovely preschool!

I have two older daughters who are both at college and university and I spent a number of happy years as the lead governor on finance at their secondary school. Hopefully this shows my commitment to our schools and education.

At work, I am a Business Unit Director for a property management company in London which keeps me very busy Monday to Friday, but I balance that very well at the weekend with family time.
